Actually did some work in my own garden this weekend! It has been somewhat neglected this winter. After spending most of the week being cold in other people’s gardens I haven’t been tempted into my own except the twice daily walk to the chicken run at the end of the garden. I had a bash at the front over Christmas but no-one sees the back.
My polytunnel blew away in the autumn and the remants of the chlli and tomato plants were still sitting there so they had to go. The brussel sprout plants were covered in aphids and had no sign of sprouts so l have given up much to the delight of the chickens. The rest of it was general weeding and seeing what was coming up.
I love these tete-a-tetes I buy them from tesco to have on the windowsill then plant them in the garden after they have finished. I have made quite a collection over the years and I always plant them where I am going to pass them every day.
